David J. Piazza, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.A.S.C.R.S. Board Certified General Surgeon Board Certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon

Dr. David Piazza is a native to the Naperville area since 1966 and graduated Naperville North High School. He is a graduate of Illinois Benedictine College. After Loyola Stritch School of Medicine, he completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Illinois, Metropolitan Group Hospitals, in Chicago. Dr. Piazza completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Carle Clinic while also serving as a Trauma Surgeon at the Carle Clinic Level One Trauma Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He has been the President of the medical staff at Edward Hospital from July 2003 until June 2006. Dr. Piazza resides in Naperville with his four children.

Dr. Piazza is available in our Naperville office Monday mornings and afternoons, and Thursday afternoons. He is available in our Plainfield office Tuesday afternoons.

Robert R. Payton, M.D., F.A.C.S. Board Certified General Surgeon

Dr. Robert Payton completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and medical school at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. He then continued on at Loyola for his general surgery residency. He has been trained in all aspects of general surgery but has a particular interest in minimally invasive, breast, gastrointestinal and varicose vein surgeries. Dr. Payton also performs flexible endoscopy procedures. Dr. Payton is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Payton is a Naperville resident with his wife and three children.

Dr. Payton is available in our Naperville office on Tuesday afternoons, Thursday mornings, and Friday afternoons. He is available in our Plainfield office on Monday afternoons.

Elizabeth H. Harvey, M.D., F.A.C.S. Board Certified General Surgeon

Dr. Elizabeth Harvey is originally from Michigan. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and continued on for her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. She then completed her general surgical residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center, a very busy level One Urban Trauma Center. Dr. Harvey has extensive trauma surgery experience and also has been trained in all aspects of general surgery. She has a particular interest in breast surgery, minimally invasive surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, and endoscopy. Dr. Harvey is board certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Harvey resides in Naperville with her husband and three sons.

Dr. Harvey is available in our Naperville office on Monday afternoons, Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings. She is available in our Plainfield office on Wednesday afternoons.

Peter B. Petratos , M.D., F.A.C.S. Board Certified General Surgeon

Dr. Peter Petratos is originally from Colorado. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Denver. He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his residency in general surgery at the New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Dr. Petratos is well-trained in all aspects of general surgery, and has particular interest in advanced laparoscopy, gastrointestinal, breast, endoscopy, trauma, and critical care surgery. He is board certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Petratos resides in Oswego with his wife and two children.

Dr. Petratos is available in our Naperville office on Tuesday mornings, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and Friday afternoons.

Sal L. Piazza, M.D., F.A.C.S. (Emeritus) Founder, Naperville Surgical Associates

Dr. Sal Piazza is the founding surgeon of Naperville Surgical Associates. Over his long career, he made many significant contributions to Edward Hospital in Naperville. He passed away in 2006.
